Pair of copper engravings by Friedrich Wilhelm von Eisenberg

A wonderful pair of copperplate engravings has arrived. I would like to share these two matching images as a pair. The sheets are in good condition and are not colored. The gold frames are also in very good condition and further enhance the images. The double mount is elaborate and therefore worthy of note. A brownish inner mount and a larger cream-colored mount above it highlight the images.

The prints of the printing plate can be seen on the sheets, so these are not simple copies but genuine prints.

The illustrations probably come from the work "The Art of Riding" by Friedrich Wilhelm von Eisenberg from 1727. Baron Eisenberg was a riding master and The two illustrations show pages 42 and 43 - "Le Vigoureux" and "Le Conquerant".

The outer dimensions of the frames are 54cm x 44cm.
